Then, you can have those defender creatures start swinging in, dealing damage based on their toughness instead of power, which is good since they generally dont have much power in the first place

The Bedecked Brokers Commander Deck Creatures - Aven Courier, Angelic Sleuth, & Bribe Taker Aven Courier is a blue flying 1/1 creature with the ability to duplicate a counter whenever it attacks and give it to another creature that doesn't possess that type of counter

I wouldnt run this cleric in decks that dont care about +1/+1 counters, but the mana sink and potential buffs are valuable

Slap a Cranial Plating on this dude and youre off to the races
